Patients should schedule online through our website, www.preciouspeeks.org. Midwives/referring OBGYNs should inform patients the time frame (e.g. anatomy between 18 and 20 weeks of pregnancy) for imaging and the exam type the patient should schedule.
A non-refundable deposit of $175 is required to book any ultrasound service, paid online at the time of scheduling. The remaining balance is due at the time of your visit. You can see the full price for each exam when you select it during booking.
Precious Peeks provides a premier concierge/boutique service. Patients are seen as quickly as possible. Patients can expect thorough scans, using the ALARA ( As low as reasonably achievable) technique. This minimizes scan time and also fetal exposure to ultrasound waves. Patients can also expect an engaging/educational experience that details what the tech is imaging and why it is being imaged. We try to set realistic expectations about scan limitations and possible future repeat scans based on preliminary findings.
Currently, we provide in home ultrasounds on Sunday afternoons. These are not able to be scheduled through our website at this time and patients will need to reach us via our website or a phone call to schedule.
We do our very best to keep all gender secrets. Our techs will ask you to turn from the screen if you don't want to see. We operate by a speak now, or forever hold your peace policy. Once you tell us you don't want to know the gender, we do not take a picture of the gender, we do not write it in any report and we do not remember the gender either!
It depends on the type of exam. Diagnostic ultrasounds (like anatomy surveys and high-risk follow-up scans) require a referral from your doctor or midwife. Elective scans, such as 3D/4D keepsake ultrasounds, do not require a referral and can be booked directly. If you are not sure which category your exam falls under, reach out and we will help you figure it out before you book.
Your ultrasound is performed by a registered sonographer. For diagnostic exams, images and findings are reviewed and interpreted by Dr. Brad Bootstaylor, MFM, a Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician, as part of your visit. Reports are sent to your referring provider by fax or secure portal/email, whichever your provider's office prefers. Precious Peeks does not provide individualized diagnosis over text, email, or phone. Please discuss your results with your referring provider.
Precious Peeks is not an emergency room. If you are experiencing a true medical emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. That said, urgent situations can come up outside of regular business hours — for those needs, we are available to see patients at our Marietta location on a case-by-case basis. Call or text 470-771-2629 if you require after-hours assistance. An additional emergency fee may apply, especially for same-day appointments or expedited results.

Please come with a full bladder for your exam. Bringing cold water or juice can help too, since that can encourage baby to be more active during the scan if needed. Support people are welcome to join you for your appointment.
All deposits are non-refundable once your appointment is booked. Each patient receives one complimentary reschedule; after that, a new deposit is required to rebook. Please arrive on time: if you are more than 15 minutes late, you will need to reschedule and pay a new booking fee, since our clinic days are limited to specific dates each month.
